Trail Highlights

  • Trail 8 (Main Corridor Trail):  Ride west toward Paradise and Pine Stump Junction or connect to Munising and beyond. This is a major east-west snowmobile and ORV route through the Upper Peninsula.
  • Trail 49:  A north-south trail that links you to Bay Mills, Raco, and Sault Ste. Marie. Ideal for exploring both forest and shoreline landscapes.
  • Hiawatha National Forest Connector Trails:  Enjoy winding paths through one of the largest protected forest areas in the region, with frequent wildlife sightings and peaceful natural beauty.

Rules of the Trail

These trails are on state and federal lands, and riding here means following Michigan DNR and U.S. Forest Service regulations:

  • Minimum Driver Age: 16 with valid driver’s license (21+ to rent)
  • Passengers are only permitted based on the manufacturer’s designated seating capacity. For example, a 2-seater may carry no more than 2 occupants, a 4-seater may carry up to 4, and a 6-seater may carry up to 6. No additional riders are allowed under any circumstances.
  • Speed Limits: 25 mph near residential areas or trailheads; slower where posted
  • Trail Permits: We handle all trail permits as part of your rental
  • No alcohol or drug use while operating

  • Stay on designated trails
  • Yield to uphill traffic
  • Keep speeds safe around blind corners
  • Respect private land and posted boundaries
  • Pack in, pack out — keep the U.P. beautiful!

Safety First – Gear & Orientation

At RAD Rentals, your safety is our top priority. Each rental includes safety gear, and we’ll provide a quick orientation to make sure you’re ready to hit the trails with confidence.

* Helmets are not provided as our side-by-sides have a roof and they are not required.

Before you hit the trail, we’ll walk you through:

  • How to safely start, stop, and operate the machine

  • What to do in case of emergency
  • Basic troubleshooting and communication tips
  • Review of your route and trail map

We don’t hand over keys until you’re fully comfortable and ready to ride with confidence.
